Ruby Seven Studios Offer a New Take on Sweepstakes

A major new deal has been struck between TX sweepstakes marketing provider from Dallas, CataBoom and mobile gaming company Ruby Seven Studios. CataBoom, which is a subsidiary of SCA Promotions, allows game developers to provide their players with sweepstake prizes as high as $1million.  The sweepstakes promotions will start at Ruby Seven with a draw for $5,000 and there is plenty more on its way where that came from.

The market for social and mobile gaming is becoming increasingly saturated and the developers of social games are beginning to follow in the steps of the many land based casinos by employing these new promotional systems to capture a broader audience.  Ruby Seven is following a marketing tactic of RealNetworks, who recently became the first developer of social games to give players the chance to win sweepstake prizes every month on Facebook.

“All About Influencing Player Behaviour”

The president at CataBoom, Tony Ebert, said the following: “Since it is all about influencing player behaviour, CataBoom will allow games to rise above the competition and become a fully integrated marketing campaign.”  Ruby Seven, through their deal with CataBoom, will be able to attached sweepstakes to their social and mobile games in certain US states.  It will initially be rolled out on Video Poker with Pirates, and the games provider sees huge potential for growth in their levels of player engagement after they have fully launched the new prize draws across their top 20 titles.  As well as being a proven marketing tool, the sweepstakes add a lot of value for Ruby Seven in their ability to give players increased opportunities for wins and social interaction.

Michael Carpenter, CEO of Ruby Seven Studios said the following, “This partnership with CataBoom enables us to innovate exciting wins in our social casino games. Through CataBoom sweepstakes, we can offer our players that enticing chance to win sweepstakes prizes, coupled with a great social gaming experience.”

Strategic Initiatives

This new partnership is part of Ruby Seven’s long term strategic initiatives to bridge the gap between marketing approaches to land based casinos and the social market.  In May 2013, the company formed a relationship with game developers Bluhare Studios.  The two companies collaborated to design TimeQuest Slots (available on Facebook, Android, iOS and Amazon).  The deal with Cataboom is now furthering their steps towards their long term vision as they establish strong links within the social gaming space.
