What Are Cookies
As is common practice with almost all professional websites, this site uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer, to improve your experience. This page describes what information they gather, how we use it and why we sometimes need to store these cookies. We will also share how you can prevent these cookies from being stored, however this may downgrade or ‘break’ certain elements of the sites functionality.
For more general information on cookies see the Wikipedia article on HTTP Cookies.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for a variety of reasons detailed below. Unfortunately, in most cases there are no industry standard options for disabling cookies, without completely disabling the functionality and features they add to this site. It is recommended that you leave on all cookies if you are not sure whether you need them or not in case they are used to provide a service that you use.
Disabling Cookies
You can prevent the setting of cookies by adjusting the settings on your browser (see your browser Help for how to do this). Be aware that disabling cookies will affect the functionality of this and many other websites that you visit. Disabling cookies will usually result in also disabling certain functionality and features of this site. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not disable cookies.
The Cookies We Set
This site is a set of static pages with no account, basket or saved settings, so it needs no cookies to work. Four cookies are nevertheless set on our own domain, and all of them are listed here.
- mz_vid — placed on every page you open and kept for one year. It holds a random string that lets us recognise a returning browser, so that we can count visitors and attribute clicks on our operator links. It is not linked to your name or email address.
- mz_src — placed on every page and kept for thirty days. It holds a single word describing how you reached the site (for example “direct”, or the search engine that sent you), so that we can see where readers come from.
- mozbiz_session and XSRF-TOKEN — added only when you follow one of our
/go/links to an operator. They let the redirect count the click and protect the request from being forged, and they expire after about twenty hours.
Third Party Cookies
Apart from the first-party counting described above, we run no analytics service and no advertising on this site. There is no Google Analytics cookie here, no advertising or remarketing cookie, and no social network button that could set one. Nothing on these pages follows you to another website.
The one exception is a form you choose to use: the newsletter sign-up on the home page and the feedback form on the contact page are provided by the external form service fortunida.com, and that platform may set a cookie of its own while you are filling the form in. If you never use either form, you never meet it.
Operators are a separate matter. Once you have followed a link and left this site, the cookies you meet are the operator’s, set under the operator’s own privacy and cookie policy, which we do not control and cannot change.
More Information
Hopefully that has clarified things for you and as was previously mentioned if there is something that you aren’t sure whether you need or not it’s usually safer to leave cookies enabled in case it does interact with one of the features you use on our site.
However, if you are still looking for more information then you can contact us through our contact page.
Licences are read off the Gambling Commission public register; bonus terms, payment lists and withdrawal rules come from the operator’s own pages. We do not hold accounts with the operators we write about, so nothing here is presented as a personal play session. Updated .
