The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and according to the legal data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. Personal data, such as names, addresses or e-mail addresses, are always provided on a voluntary basis if possible. Those data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit permission.

However, we would like to point out that data transmissions via internet (e.g. e-mail communication) cannot be entirely secure and may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of personal details against unauthorised access by third parties is not possible.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. These pages are static: there is no account to log in to, no basket and no setting that has to be remembered from one visit to the next, so the pages themselves need no cookies in order to work.

One cookie is nevertheless set when you arrive. It is called mz_src, it records in a single word how you reached the site — for example „direct“ or the name of the search engine that sent you — and it expires after thirty days. It holds no name, no address and no identifier that would let anyone recognise you on another website; we use it only to count where our readers come from. Following one of our links to an operator adds two further cookies of the redirect service, mozbiz_session and XSRF-TOKEN, which exist to count the click and to protect the request, and which expire within twenty hours.

You can set your browser to warn you before a cookie is placed, to allow cookies case by case, to refuse them altogether, or to delete them when the browser closes. Refusing them breaks nothing on this site. A fuller description is on our cookie policy.

Server-log-files

The provider of these websites automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files which your browser automatically transmits to us, such as

Those data cannot be associated with individual persons. A merging with other data sources does not take place. We reserve the right to retrospectively check the data if reasonable evidences concerning illegal use become known.

Analytics and advertising

This website runs no analytics service and no advertising network. There is no Google Analytics, no remarketing or retargeting tag, no pixel of any social network, no heat-map recorder and no A/B-testing script on these pages. Nothing here builds a profile of you across other websites, and no record of your visit is handed to an advertising company.

Because none of those services is present, there is nothing for you to opt out of: no opt-out cookie has to be placed, and no browser add-on has to be installed.

Fonts, scripts and other files

The typefaces, stylesheets, images and scripts that make up this site are served from our own server. Nothing is fetched from Google Fonts or from any other content delivery network, so simply opening a page does not disclose your address to a third party.

Embedded content from other websites

We embed no social network buttons, no comment widgets, no maps and no video players. The pages are text, tables and images. Where we point to an outside source — the Gambling Commission register, an operator’s own terms page, a news report — we do it with an ordinary link, and nothing is loaded from that source unless you click it.

Links to gambling operators

Our links to the operators we write about run through addresses of the form /go/ on this domain. Following such a link hands your browser to the operator’s own site, and the operator learns that you arrived from here. We may be paid a commission when that happens; it does not change what we write, and the ranking of an operator is not for sale. What the operator then records about you is governed by the operator’s own privacy policy and not by this one. Nothing personal comes back to us: we see counts of clicks, not the people who made them.

Newsletter and feedback forms

Two pages of this site carry a form: the newsletter sign-up on the home page and the feedback form on our contact page. Both are provided by our publishing platform, fortunida.com, and what you type into them — an e-mail address, and in the feedback form a message and, if you choose to give one, a name — is transmitted to that platform and stored there so that we can answer you or send you the newsletter.

Giving that data is voluntary and you can read every page of this site without it. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link carried by each newsletter, and you may ask us to delete what you sent by writing to the address on our contact page. Nothing you enter in these forms is passed to a gambling operator or sold to anyone.

SSL Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential data, such as enquiries you sent to us as the provider, this website uses an SSL encryption. You recognise an encrypted transmission by the change of the address line of the browser from „http://” to „https://” and by the lock-symbol in your browser address line.

If the SSL encryption is active, the data you have transmitted to us cannot be accessed by third parties.
